Shanower, Eric; (L. Frank Baum) Adventures in Oz SIGNED LIMITED EDITION San Diego, CA: IDW Publishing 2006 1600100031 / 9781600100031 First Edition Hard Cover Very Near Fine Signed by Author and Illustrator First edition, first printing. SIGNED AND NUMBERED LIMITED HARDCOVER EDITION, copy #191 of 300; signed on a tipped-in color limitation page. Collects for the first time Shanower's five Oz graphic novels of 1986-92: The Enchanted Apples of Oz; The Secret Island of Oz; The Ice King of Oz; The Forgotten Forest of Oz; and The Blue Witch of Oz. Far more than a mere reprint, the publisher painstakingly rescanned all of Shanower's original artwork and worked closely with the artist to ensure the coloring precisely matched his intentions. The result is absolutely brilliant! This limited edition also contains 70 pages of bonus material not found in the trade edition, including preliminary drawings and sketches, unpublished alternate endings to two of the stories, costume development designs, comics, advertising art, and much more. The limited edition sold out almost immediately and is already very difficult to find; not to be confused with the 2007 hardcover reissue. Other than a minor binding error to the rear hinge, this is an MINT copy, issued without dust jacket. Price:
